He is President of Nottinghamshire Birdwatchers.

He is a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists, and is currently the Treasurer.

He is a founder member of Nature in Art (National Wildlife Art Collection), at Wallsworth Hall, Gloucestershire. Work in permanent collection.
